The Fight of Faith

Neh 4:1 But it came to pass, that when Sanballat heard that we built the wall, he was wroth, and took great indignation, and mocked the Jews.

When you are growing in the Lord, making an effort to seek his face, read his word and pray, all kinds of vicious accusations from the enemy of your soul will flood your mind, at times, and your own flesh will resist the effort to draw nigh to God. Flesh cannot glory in the presence of the Lord, it has to be crucified and it knows it. The presence of God is death to the flesh and carnal thinking. The devil will try to remind you how weak you are, how hopeless it looks. Ahhh. but you remind him it's in your weakness that the strength of the Almighty God is made perfect! Hallelujah! It's the weak things of this world that God uses to accomplish his purposes. For only then are men stopped from taking the credit.

At times, other things, like circumstances may hinder your efforts to get alone with God. You need to know the devil does not want you in the presence of God, for if you become too familiar with the Lord, your faith will explode, and your strength will grow, and he can't win against faith in God. He knows it. You need to know it. Glory to God!

Neh 4:13 Therefore set I in the lower places behind the wall, and on the higher places, I even set the people after their families with their swords, their spears, and their bows.

Neh 4:14 And I looked, and rose up, and said unto the nobles, and to the rulers, and to the rest of the people, Be not ye afraid of them: remember the Lord, which is great and terrible, and fight for your brethren, your sons, and your daughters, your wives, and your houses.

You have the sword of the word of God to fight with. When the devil lies to your mind, speak in faith thus saith the word of the Lord. It will always be opposite to what Satan whispers to your mind. So be not afraid of him, and remember how awesome and powerful your God is, and fight for your family and friends and neighbors. The devil cannot keep them enslaved in sin and lost when you are submitting to the authority of GOD in your life and laying hold of God, faith in his word, and praying conviction down on their head, and speak the word of faith: "Satan, let my family go."
