Let Not Your Heart Be Troubled
John 14:1 tells us not to let our hearts be troubled. He tells us not to be afraid, if we believe in God, believe also
in him. Paul gives some pure Holy Ghost instruction for those who will be living in the last days, as well.
2Ti 4:1 I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ,
who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;
2Ti 4:2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke,
exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.
2Ti 4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after
their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
2Ti 4:4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
There is no shortage in the land of seducing spirits and doctrines of devils. In fact, there is an all out attempt by the
enemy of every believer in Christ to slay even a grain of faith in our Lord. People have been sending me emails on things
they have read and heard in the media concerning this so called "Judas Gospel" and then I've read about the "Jesus Papers"
and then there is the equally despicable "DaVinci Code". They say the crucifixion was staged, his death and resurrection a
hoax. Some claim he married and had children. Some claim Judas betrayed him at his own request, thus implicating our Lord
was too weak to surrender his flesh. This would be funny if it wasn't so sad, to think of all the people out there who will
fall for this lie, and go on to live their life for self and be condemned to darkness, having not been concerned enough to
come to the Light. And it is available to everyone. No one is going to be able to say they did not know or had not heard the
truth.
Joh 1:9
That was the true Light,
which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.
Rom 12:3 For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among
you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.
Rom 1:19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God
hath showed it unto
them.
Rom 1:20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly
seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
These books designed to discredit the Word of God being released at the time when Christians remember
his resurrection-which we need to remember every day not just on Easter- it is not coincidence. These are just three examples
of people being manipulated by powers greater than themselves, having been blinded to the truth of the glorious gospel of
Jesus Christ. And I am not angry at these people, or the media-because the Lord I love died for them, just the same as he
did me. He suffered for them, too. They were created in his image, too. He said to put off wrath, malice, envy, strife, contention,
and not debate his word or things like this.
2Co 4:3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:
2Co 4:4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe
not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
2Co 4:5 For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves
your servants for Jesus' sake.
2Pe 3:3 Knowing
this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,
2Pe 3:4 And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers
fell asleep, all things continue as they were
from the beginning of the creation.
2Pe 3:5 For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens
were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:
The scoffers are more than have ever been. The increase of knowledge and people running to and fro in the world has
given them a false sense of superiority. A sense of security that is built on sinking sand. This world we live in folks, has
been condemned by the Owner. Who in their right mind would build on condemned ground? Would you rent an apartment or move
into a house that was condemned and set to be torn down by the owner? No you would not. Lay up treasure where he is, not here.
If you are putting all your hopes and faith in this world you have nothing. You will lose everything. He said heaven and earth
would pass away but his word would never pass away that it abideth forever. If his word is hidden in your heart-think about
it, saints! These things are not targeted at the world who already does not believe. They are targeted at those who DO
believe. Regardless of whether you are a new believer in Christ, or a mature Christian. What's more, I believe that the Lord
is allowing this challenge to his word, number one, because he knows his word is pure and will stand any pathetic little test
men or Satan put it to. He is not concerned about being exposed as a fraud for he is not. Indeed, I believe he laughs at the
devil's feeble attempts to discredit him. But on judgment day it won't be a laughing matter for the Lord takes it very seriously
when someone tries to destroy the faith of his children. Especially the babes. The new believers. He is watching, and he knows
what is going on. He warned us in his word that everything that could be shaken would be so that that which remains would
be unshakeable and pure. He has given us all we need to stand. Let us encourage one another, love one another and pray for
one another, especially those weak in the faith, or new in the faith.
Heb 12:27 And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that
are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain.
If you are a saint of God, new believer or mature, and you are born again by his Holy Spirit, do not fret about these
things. Of course it is offensive, to the name of the Lord we know and love. It's offensive to us who love HIM. But when you
remember, he does not need us out there ranting at the unbelievers, trying to fight the battles of the Almighty and making
ourselves and by reflection our Lord look foolish. These things the devil wants to use to provoke and stir God's people to
get in the flesh and get angry. He wants to shake our faith. We must be strong, and anchored in the hope laid before us. For
in this day we live in, what is more needful than anything, and what I think the Lord wants from us more than anything is
just for us to get alone with him, behold his face, learn his voice, so we won't be deceived, and sanctify ourselves as we
take up our crosses, and carry them with understanding that he has honored us with this cross-by taking our frailties, weaknesses,
failures, and giving us his righteousness, his love, and his presence in our lives. But we must surrender our will to his,
our agenda for his. Stop and think about it, what can we really give to the God who owns everything? What can we give to the
One who is so holy and pure, our flesh would drop dead if we beheld him as he is in our natural bodies. He has been stretching
out his hand to man for thousands of years. Some will come, but some won't. What we need to do as his people is be getting
ready to leave here, be filling our lamps and our vessels up with oil. Get as close to him as we can, so his glory can shine
on us and those who are sick of sin and this world will see the light and reach out for the blessed hope. If there were not
a few more souls left that he knows will come in, wouldn't he have already come for us? If there were not more harvest to
bring in would he not come now? Let us be about his business, with his love, light and truth in our hearts. Let us be praying
for direction for the harvest, and interceding for the lost. He said by this shall all men know ye are my disciples that ye
love one another. Forget denominational boundaries, there is no scripture for this sort of division. Take the Word. Go to
the Lord. Seek his face, seek unity and peace in the Body of Christ. And then we can go forth.
Phi 2:15 That ye may be blameless and harmless, the
sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;
Although the things we see and hear may vex us, God help us look past flesh to the spiritual wickedness that drives
this thing, and realize that is where the battle is. We do not war with flesh and blood. Don't be dismayed, get in his word,
read it, eat it, soak it up like a sponge, pray for understanding, because as you do these things, you are building your house
on the rock. He is the Rock and if you are built on him, no matter what storm comes, his word in you will hold you up. And
remember-he warned you beforehand these things would come. They are here. We can't fight them. It's not our battle it is His.
Heb 1:3 Who
being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself
purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;
2Th 2:1 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ,
and by our gathering
together unto him,
2Th 2:2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit,
nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.
