Prepare to press on and press In
Jos 1:10
Then Joshua commanded the officers of the people, saying,
Jos 1:11 Pass through the host,
and command the people, saying, Prepare you victuals; for within three days ye shall pass over this Jordan, to go in to possess
the land, which the LORD your God giveth you to possess it.
Jos 1:12 And to the Reubenites,
and to the Gadites, and to half the tribe of Manasseh, spoke Joshua, saying,
Jos 1:13 Remember the word which
Moses the servant of the LORD commanded you, saying, The LORD your God hath given you rest, and hath given you this land.
Jos 1:14 Your wives, your little
ones, and your cattle, shall remain in the land which Moses gave you on this side Jordan; but ye shall pass before your brethren
armed, all the mighty men of valor, and help them;
Jos 1:15 Until the LORD have given
your brethren rest, as he hath given you, and they also have possessed the land which the LORD your God giveth them: then ye shall return unto the
land of your possession, and enjoy it, which Moses the LORD's servant gave you on this side Jordan toward the sunrising.
Jos 1:16 And they answered Joshua,
saying, All that thou commandest us we will do, and whithersoever thou sendest us, we will go.
Jos 1:17 According as we hearkened
unto Moses in all things, so will we hearken unto thee: only the LORD thy God be with thee, as he was with Moses.
I am getting excited so much so I can hardly wait for the next service at Church, wondering what great thing God is
going to say or do next. I know more I feel the drawing of his Precious Spirit. As I was going back over the notes from this
weekend's services, it was a blessing. As I typed I felt the urging of the Holy Spirit, that precious witness, that yes, it's
true, now is the time. He's telling you what God wants you to do. Let me help you. And my spirit within stirred with excitement,
and anticipation. What grace and mercy for the Lord to minister such wonderful truths to his people. I know it won't be easy,
because the adversity has already started. The pressure has already increased in my life, and the fight is on. I know it is
for my brothers and sisters, as well, in whatever way the enemy is working. But as I read back over these scriptures, in Joshua,
here is what the word ministered to my heart:
In order to prepare to cross over into the promises of God, verse 11
says, prepare your victuals, and for us, that means we must fill up on the word of God, have it freshly poured into our hearts
and minds. Let it renew our minds and fill our thoughts so when adversity comes and the enemy rises up we will be armed with
the Word of the Lord to shoot back at him when he tries to stop us with his lies. And by that I mean, when the lie comes,
cut through it by remembering the truth of what God says about it, for the Word of the Lord is sharper than any two edged
sword, and more powerful than any lie the devil can fire into your mind. Picture him hiding in the shadows, his quiver full
of darts, all with names like "lie," "discouragement" "fear," "doubt," "unbelief", and "anger". And as you are following after
the Lord, the devil fires darts at your mind, designed to throw you off course, or make it hard for eyes of faith to see the
Lord to follow him. He wants to muddy the waters. Confuse and frighten you. And when the discouragement dart comes, remember
God said "be strong, and be courageous" and remember he said "I will not fail you or forsake you." When the dart of fear comes,
smack it down with "The Lord is my light and my salvation, of whom shall I be afraid?" See? The enemy's darts can't penetrate
the Rock. They can't hurt the Rock. They can't shake it, or turn it, or move it at all. When we are built on the Rock, and
hear and do what the Lord says, when the flood of the enemy comes in, our house won't fall, it will stand. Because the Word
of the Lord is the anchor, the Word of the Lord is the foundation, and the house built on the Word, is kept by the power of
God's Word. Consider beforehand the lies of the enemy that we have heard before, and when we hear them again, be prepared
to shoot them down with the truth of God's word. Don't argue with him, don't give him place, when he fires his darts of doubt
and fear at you, hold up the shield of faith in your mind, having the helmet of salvation on, and all the armor of God, and
remember who you are, according to the Word of the Lord who cannot lie. Remember what you are doing. Where you are going.
What you possess and WHO your life is hidden in. Remember most of all you are COMPLETE in HIM in whom is all the fullness
of the Godhead bodily-and everything you will ever need is in Christ. And if you are in him, then you have what you need.
Lay hold of it by faith. I'm praying and asking the Lord to show me how. His word is forever settled in heaven. We can't judge
by the sight of our eyes, or what we hear. We surely can't go by feelings. IF we do that, we will be doomed before we start
to failure. We won't enter in. If all we have to step out on is the promise in God's Holy Word, we have to realize we are
stepping out on a SOLID ROCK that can't be conquered, shaken or moved. We have to take it by faith. We have to trust that
he will guide our steps as he promised. (Psa 32:8). And verse 15, read it close, when we enter in and start partaking of the
promises of God, and are rejoicing, then we can't sit on our hands and rest while there are others in the Body of Christ struggling
to enter in. We have to help them, intercede in prayer for them, encourage, lift them up before the Lord, lift them up and
edify them when we see them, and help them to enter in. We can't leave any behind that wants to enter in. In God's Army, no
one is to be left behind. We are to care for each other more than ourselves. Preferring one another, he said.
I WILL
INSTRUCT THEE AND TEACH THEE IN THE WAY WHICH THOU SHALT GO: I WILL GUIDE THEE WITH MINE EYE. (Psalms 32:8)
